Employees keep informed with interactive kiosks
Article Abstract:
General Foods Corp uses interactive video terminals to provide employees with information about employee benefits such as medical care, life insurance, and pensions. The system also allows employees to determine their current balance in company savings plans, and to calculate the amount of loans available from '401(k)' savings plans. The benefits administration department at General Foods developed the idea of the interactive kiosks to cope with an increasing number of employee inquiries about benefits, and to provide information about the increasingly complex benefits program.
