The executive remuneration market
Article Abstract:
The 1996 recession significantly affected Argentina's free-market economy by generating inflation, but did not diminish executive remuneration. The current Argentinian pay system lacks flexibility, but executive remuneration is still competitive when compared with the US system. A comparison between executive remuneration systems based on employment categories in Argentina and the US is presented.

Remuneration committees in the UK
Article Abstract:
The high level of interest being displayed by the UK media towards the remuneration of top executives can be traced to various factors. These include the low level of importance companies give to shareholders' general annual meetings, the difficulty of controlling increases in executive pay and public discomfort over the widening gap between executive compensation and workforce wages.
