The role of approval and achievement needs in feedback seeking behavior
Article Abstract:
The effects of individual differences on the feedback seeking behavior of workers were determined. Results show that high Need for Approval employees prefer less cognitive feedback, are less interested in the feedback of expert sources and aspire for higher performance evaluations than high Need for Achievement employees. These imply that both cognitive and evaluative feedback should be given and employees should solicit the feedback of their co-workers. Moreover, feedback must be given more often, supervisors must realize the result of both positive and negative feedback and companies must conduct more feedback-giving training for managers.

Employee benefit packages for part-time workers
Article Abstract:
Employers need to design appropriate benefit packages for part-time employees to attract and maintain them. To ensure this, traditional views regarding the amount and kinds of part-time employee benefits must be re-evaluated. A survey on the subject has revealed that managers make distinctions among part-time employees and between full- and part-time workers for the benefits provided. The study also suggests that part-time employee compensation plans must be incorporated to the overall corporate strategy to ensure long-term corporate success.
