Train and degree them - anywhere
Article Abstract:
An increasing number of companies are offering training programs that lead to degrees to develop their employees' business skills. The growing popularity of associate's degree programs is being driven primarily by the shortage of employees with the kind of capabilities that employers are looking for. This trend is also being encouraged by the willingness of many colleges and universities to accommodate the needs of companies. Eager to drum up new business, more and more educational institutions are designing special degree programs according to the needs of working students. Many programs allow employees to take their courses onsite so that they would not have to spend additional time and energy travelling from work to school or vice versa. The emergence of new technology likewise makes it easier for employees to learn outside the traditional classroom.

Faster, shorter, cheaper drives training today
Article Abstract:
Training departments of most companies require training vendors to supply them with seminars and course materials that are faster, shorter and cheaper than usual. They want faster training because speed is needed to solve problems in a timely manner. They also want shorter courses because employees are always needed on their jobs. Less lengthy training gives them time to return to their work as soon as possible. They also want cheaper training to minimize their expenses. Training vendors should address these demands by using technology, clearly defined objectives, off-the-shelf programs, simplified classroom training, self-study, self-study classroom combination and practicality.
