Trade unions are good for business
Article Abstract:
There has been a decline in collective bargaining organizations in the United Kingdom since the late 1970s and this has been paralleled by increased unemployment. William Brown's report entitled 'Bargaining for full employment,' based on data from the 1990 Workplace Industrial Relations Survey, questions labor theories that have led to a drop in unionism. The report examines the merits and demerits of deregulation and suggests that cooperation between labor and management will lead to higher productivity.
