Water safety
Article Abstract:
The hazards and the risks of working or playing near or in water, which can be risky, are identified and a strategy for the prevention of drowning is suggested. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is of the view that there is a need to improve the standard of safety management of water sites to reduce the number of drowning incidents.

Dangerous explosions

Ways by which the new Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) affect the safety at workplaces are discussed. The risk assessment required by the different regulations of the DSEAR while assessing the workplace is given in detail.
