Author! Author! Lawyer-written software is arriving at law firms
Article Abstract:
New logic-based software programs simulate the attorney-client interview, posing a series of detailed questions as an attorney would in an interview with a client. Attorneys have written much of the software, with the goal of generating an intelligent first draft. As attorneys are resistant to change, getting the software into widespread use is the biggest problem. The RIA Group is marketing the programs, charging $1,900 annually, and this includes several updates which will incorporate changes in the law and user feedback.
