Automating your fee agreements
Article Abstract:
Users can employ Novell's WordPerfect Template feature to make fee agreements. Users first need to create a new template group that will store templates of a similar type. Users open a new file and choose the 'New Group' function on the Option menu. Users then name the group and close the file. The newly created file now appears in the template list. To create the templates to store in the new group, users must format the document. Documents with more than one page should have a footer with page numbers and file name. Once the format is complete, users add prompts, which request that information be filled in. The Prompt Builder button is found on the feature bar. After selecting 'Add,' users enter the type of information requested. Users may also insert signature lines. When the template is complete, users should exit Template and save the changes to the file.

Automatic fax coversheets in 6.x DOS
Article Abstract:
WordPerfect uses two types of cover sheets including FaxBios Coversheets and WP Coversheets. WordPerfect treats the FaxBios Coversheet as a .pcx file and inserts data from its Fax Services during the faxing process. Users can use CompuServe to download additional FaxBios Coversheets by getting the 6DFAX.EXE file from NPO-FILES. WP Coversheets offer users more flexibility and are essentially WordPerfect files that can be edited to fit the user's needs. The WordPerfect program comes with one WP Coversheet identified as FAXCVR.CVR. Those using WordPerfect to fax documents should acquaint themselves with the word processing program's bookmark feature, which automates the fax cover sheet. Sending a fax requires pressing Print (Shift + F7) and choosing Fax Services (9).
