Tapping equal protection; one woman's suit over delayed village water connection could open litigation floodgate
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning Village of Willowbrook v. Olech, pending in the US Supreme Court, on whether government actions taken for spirte constitute an equal protection violation are discussed. The Olech decision was the third time in the mid-1990s that the 7th Circuit validated equal protection suits by plaintiffs who claimed that they had been singled out for bad treatment.
