Development and international aviation: a transition in litigation of claims and potential future exposures
Article Abstract:
The elimination of the liability limitation under the Warsaw Convention in 1996 on personal injury and intentional death claims against international air carriers may not, as hoped, end all litigation on liability issues and shift the focus exclusively to claims for damages. In addition, negligence suits involving medical problems during flights, commercial claims, and terrorism may open new areas of litigation.
