Emerging combatants, war crimes and the future of international humanitarian law
Article Abstract:
This article explores international law, its application, and groups who do not adhere to the laws. The author examines these groups and argues that a criminological study of them can contribute to a better understanding of the groups, which then can help formulate strategies in preventing international criminal behavior.

Truman's revenge: social control and corporate crime
Article Abstract:
This article examines inconsistencies between public policies aimed at street and corporate crime. Criminal law protects corporations from accountability despite the fact that corporate criminality creates more social harm and is more likely to be deterred by increased penalties than street crime.

Examining international responses to illicit arms trafficking

This article explores the role of the international community in preventing the illegal arms trafficking of small weapons. The author maintains that since 1996 this has become an international priority, and discusses the development of an international program to control the illicit activities.
