Estate planning for the unique needs of unmarried partners
Article Abstract:
Unmarried partners lack many of the legal protections married partners have in matters of succession, such as property rights in each others' estates. Therefore, different methods of estate planning must be used for such partners to inherit each others' property without heavy tax burdens.

Coping with the decoupling of state estate taxes after EGTRRA
Article Abstract:
Because of the phaseout of the federal state estate tax credit, many states will no longer have estate tax rates which never exceed the credit. Wills should be altered to take account of this fact. Estate planning techniques are discussed.
