Article Abstract:
Issues are discussed regarding basing a policy on the recruitment of women and minority lawyers on a strategy to assure the profitable growth of that population. Programs to recruit entry-level associates need to cultivate alliances with minority student organizations at law schools, and corporations with female or minority counsel often provide effective lateral hires. Training programs as a retention tool are discussed.
