Activities at the annual ABA Day in Washington and the association's lobbying for judicial pay reform, funding for the Legal Services Corp, and the ABA's role in the judicial selection process are discussed. These three areas belong to the 12 ABA legislative priorities.

The expanded home page of the ABA Governmental Affairs Office (GAO) allows lawyers virtual access to Washington, DC and participation in ABA lobbying efforts. The GAO home page has information about ABA legislative and governmental advocacy programs and alerts members to issues affecting lawyers which are being considered by Congress. The new home page will include detailed updates on the 10 current ABA legislative and governmental priorities. The URL is www.abanet.org/legadv.
