Getting close to nature and big fees; Gerry Spence's school for trial lawyers teaches client sensitivity - and winning
Article Abstract:
Competition is rife to attend Gerry Spence's monthlong Trial Lawyers College, with only one out of seven of the applicants being accepted. Spence aims to train a new generation of trial lawyers dedicated to serving the people. Attendees grow bonded through three days of sharing experiences and the interpersonal skills gained stand them in good stead later in dealing more empathetically with clients. The college was founded in 1994 and has always had more applicants than it could handle.
