Attorneys are often swamped by the various demands on their time and yet some of this problem can be resolved through organization and time management. Some techniques include prioritizing and possibly removing tasks that are not time and cost efficient. Time management software can help but is only convenient if a portable computer is available. A personal organizer can suit most attorneys because it is always available and some companies even provide training in organization. Some basic organizing techniques are included.

These coaches help attorneys focus on processes, distinguishing work or recreations that are definitely needed from those that can be eliminated. Effective use of coaches requires a long-term commitment quite different from a business consultant relationship.
