Improving customer service: The modernization of DG IV

Article Abstract:

DG IV, the European Commission's competition directorate-general is undergoing a major modernization programme which will have an effect on the quality of customer service it provides. The Commission's non-contentious procedures are considered, particularly the competition exemption procedure. Contentious procedures are also considered, along with the new modernization programme and its shortcomings.
