Article Abstract:
The small Iowa firm of Beckman, Hirsch, Ell and Lewis uses the Internet and related technology to retrieve, analyze, and share information as well as any firm in a major US city. By aggressively using technology as a tool, it stays connected with the outside world to seek expertise, view Iowa Supreme Court decisions the day after they are handed down, and more. The firm uses an Internet service called Farcast to automatically seek out and retrieve potentially interesting articles, essentially creating a custom newspaper.

Stars of the classroom; will top profs who instruct via Internet dominate teaching?
Article Abstract:
Teaching law school classes on the Internet allows professors to reach students in remote locations and even has international possibilities. Critics point out the importance of direct classroom interaction and worry that lesser-known, local law professors might be overlooked due to the ready accessibility of luminaries over the Internet. As the body responsible for law school accreditation, the ABA is watching new developments of computer-assisted legal instruction.

Profiting from experience: the right answer to a legal problem may come from trusting everything you've done in life
Article Abstract:
Common sense is often devalued in educating young lawyers and in the practice of law. Using common sense to work through legal problems, however, can help lawyers relate to clients and jury members. Benefits from teaching the use of common sense are discussed.
