Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America, a pending Supreme Court Case regarding Maine's discount prescription drug plan, is discussed. The Bush administration and the pharmaceutical industry charge the program violates the federal Medicaid law.

FBI files show Powell was a pal of Hoover's; freindship begain before his stint as justice and may have eased his appointment

A friendship between the late Justice Lewis F Powell, Jr, and the late FBI Director J Edgar Hoover, disclosed in the latter's just-released FBI file, is described. This relationship may have eased the justice's appointment to the nation's high court.
