How the Bankruptcy Code will perform with the projected failure of many Internet companies is discussed. Financially troubled Internet companies may find Chapter 11 unsuitable for maintaining their going concern viability.

The large role played by intellectual property in the valuation of a failed Internet company assets is discussed. To the extent that the ability of the intellectual property to generate future cash flows is uncertain, a higher discount rate and lower valuation are likely.
