P.C. or discrimination?
Article Abstract:
The Hooters' restaurant chain's claims in defense of its all-female waiting stall deserve dismissal, as did those of airlines that made similar arguments 25 years ago. In the face of gender bias complaints by men denied positions and by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Hooters says it is selling sex appeal as well as food. The preference of the clientele should not justify discrimination, however, and opening the position to both genders would help make waiting tables more respected and professional.

Sex harassment remains a problem in schools
Article Abstract:
The Supreme Court stated in the 1998 ruling of Gebser v. Lago Vista Independent School District that school officials must know of the sexual harassment of a student by an employee and respond with deliberate indifference to be liable for the student's sexual harassment, whether the school has adequate harassment policies being inconsequential. This decision is very different from other harassment rulings of the last few years and creates incentives for indifference.

The law school playing field is not level yet
Article Abstract:
Diversity has not yet become a reality at most law schools, and the challenges which remain are the creation of an institutional culture of true equality and the persistent marginalization of diversity-related topics in classroom teaching. ABA and Law School Admission Council studies show a pervasive failure to integrate topics involving sexual orientation and gender into the core curriculum.
