Article Abstract:
Guidelines for the application of legal ethics rules as the economy moves towards increased globalization and greater use of technology are given. Areas covered include conflicts of interest as lawyers move between firms, reconciling US ethics rules with those in other countries, taking responsibility for the behavior of nonlawyer staff working for law firms, and applying legal ethics rules to electronic commerce.

Parent privilege; lawmakers seek to protect parent-child conversation
Article Abstract:
The lack of confidentiality of parent-child communications is discussed, and most states have laws stating that parents can be forced to testify about matters their children tell them in confidence. Stricter laws on adult court jurisdiction over juvenile offenders have led some prosecutors to seek criminal court testimony from parents.
