Article Abstract:
The most recent Internal Revenue Code changes are discussed, including tax exclusion issues with the sale of a principal residence whichh was used as a home-based office, estate tax changes.Various tax deduction issues are also included, including ones for business meals and charitable deductions also providing tax savings in bankruptcy proceedings.

Tax relief at every milestone
Article Abstract:
The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 is discussed, and it includes changes to the alternative minimum tax, a repeal of the estate tax in 2010, relief for innocent spouses, and changes to the mandatory distribution rules for IRAs, and family limited partnership taxation.

The various innovations in estate planning to keep clients' assets out of the hands of creditors and inheritance tax collectors are described. These include family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, grantor retained annuity trusts, installment sales to grantor trusts, and self-canceling installment notes.
