Four on the Fourth; high court gets several chances to elaborate on standards for searches and seizures
Article Abstract:
Some of the cases involving the Fourth Amendment to be heard by the US Supreme Court during the 2000-2001 term are described. The Court must reconcile conflicting decisions dealing with whether police intentions and the common law determine whether a search is reasonable, and has in the past generally sided with the police.

The search-and-seizure rulings of the US Supreme Court during the 2000-2001 term are discussed.
