Remarks by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of the United States
Article Abstract:
Justice Ginsburg comments on public reaction to some of her recent opinions. Some reactions are humorous, such as those following her opinion in Bennis v. Michigan, the car forfeiture case. Other reactions are distinctly unfavorable, such as the many scathing criticisms that followed the ruling that forced the Virginia Military Academy to admit females. Though of course judges should not be exempt from criticism, it is also fitting for them to have defenders.

Dedication to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Article Abstract:
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg merits praise for her work, before and after her appointment in 1993, against gender discrimination. Her judicial work has thus fortified the American ideal that people should be judged according to their merits and not by factors beyond their control. Justice Ginsburg's personal and professional life are likewise a source of inspiration for those who follow in her footsteps.

A tribute to my friend, the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Article Abstract:
Justice Ginsburg is honored as a principled person, as a good cook as well as a good judge to clerk for, as a trenchant legal writer on the subject of sex discrimination, as an inspiring law professor before becoming a judge, and as an engaging person in private when she lays aside her austere judicial exterior.
