Seattle's no. 1 firm prospers
Article Abstract:
Perkins Coie is one of Seattle's major law firms and for many years its main client was the Boeing Co. Bad times at the Boeing Co. have translated into a more diversified practice for the law firm. Pollution problems have accompanied Seattle's surging population and one of the firm's new specialties is environmental law, both white collar defense of entities accused of toxic dumping and Superfund litigation. The firm also hopes to obtain some of the legal work for high technology firms emerging in the Northwest. One Perkins Coie branch is now in Taipei, Taiwan.
