With no body, prosecutors try to link man to crime
Article Abstract:
The case of Minnesota v Guevara concerns the abduction and alleged murder of little Corrine Erstad and presents the prosecution with the task of proving a case with circumstantial evidence since no body was ever found. This evidence includes DNA samples of hair, blood and semen and bloodied pieces of Corrine's clothing recovered from the suspect's home. The defense is distracting attention from the defendant by concentrating on problems in the girl's family including chemical abuse by the mother.

Minneapolis crime story: killer walks, then talks
Article Abstract:
A very convoluted murder case came to an end in Minneapolis, MN, on May 7, 1992. After receiving immunity, Russ Swart, Julie Everson's landlord, confessed to murdering her. This confession took place just one day after Keith Bullock, Everson's old boyfriend, pleaded guilty to the crime although he was innocent. This case is unique because the murderer came forth one day after an innocent man took the rap for the crime.
