'Claim' in insurance law
Article Abstract:
The definition of claim in Australian insurance law is unclear. In cases involving third parties, claim has been defined as an assertion by the third party against the assured for relief for a breach of duty. Another proposed definition is that a claim is a demand to satisfy an assured's liability.
