Securities regulation and the use of electronic media
Article Abstract:
The SEC is committed to encouraging the use of electronic media for the disclosure of information to investors, as its interpretive releases on electronic media reveal. The agency believes use of electronic media will improve securities markets' efficiency, but has not issued clear guidance regarding its use. The SEC releases and Internet sites with their policies regarding electronic media are discussed.

SEC adopts amendments to stop regulation S abuses
Article Abstract:
The SEC adopted amendments to Regulation S, which governs global securities offerings, to stop abusive practices. The changes in regulations create significant limitations on domestic issuers' ability to offer equity securities. The changes effect the distribution compliance period, and legending, certification, and stop transfer requirements.
