"Shooting the piano player"? Justice Scalia and administrative law
Article Abstract:
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is providing conservative judicial activism in his opinions on administrative law, and this keeps the subject lively for scholars. For example, he favors the liberation of administrative agencies from controls on their procedures. Besides administrative procedures, he has covered administrative power, rulemaking, freedom of information and judicial review. While a leader in conservatism, he also tends to favor the Executive instead of distrust it.

Wade's seventh edition and recent English administrative law
Article Abstract:
William Wade's seventh edition of his definitive administrative law text is an excellent resource for tracing developments in English administrative law during the period 1988-1994. England's EC membership has led to a revolution in English public law, since UK laws can be overridden by outside laws. UK developments in administrative procedure, judicial review, standing, scope of review, and remedies can be traced in Wade's Administrative Law and by studying the relevant case law.
