Tax professionals' guide to navigating through cyberspace
Article Abstract:
The Internet or World Wide Web can add value to serious tax practitioners' research efforts. How these professionals can fully exploit the Internet depends on their being able to rapidly access the required information and their having reasonable expectations about the kind and quality of the information available. A number of Web pages are available for tax practitioners who do not have the patience to learn the complexities involved in efficient searching. These sites specialize in furnishing directories of tax and other accounting-related resources and tend to keep their links up to date. They include the IRS site, tax information and update pages, company directories and employment sites and up-to-date legal reference sites.
