The EU's joint actions on anti-personnel mines and unexploded ordnance: Finding a security policy identity
Article Abstract:
The European Union's involvement in the post-1997 Ottawa process is evaluated and the Unions as a foreign policy sector, particularly the way it projects is security through the CFSP is assessed. The assessment is conducted through exploring the diplomatic history of the Ottawa process, unpacking the key elements of the Treaty, and discussing and applying the theoretical literature concerning foreign policy 'actorness' to the EU's joint actions on landmines.

The decision of the Court of First Instance (CFI) to exclude itself from determining the legality of certain Council and Commission actions taken against terrorism is examined. Measures taken against the financing of terrorism and against money laundering in connection with the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) of the European Union are discussed.
