The profession after 15 years
Article Abstract:
The legal job market has grown tighter and salaries after a rapid rise during the 1980s have begun to stagnate. This change can be seen partly as a result of the recession which has plagued the US for the last several years. This economic downturn has resulted in downsizing and decreased job security. The economic climate has also led law firm clients to demand increased accountability and reasonable pricing from their law firms.

General counsel expanding beyond traditional roles
