Political corruption in Russia and the Soviet legacy
Article Abstract:
The origins of political corruption of post-communist Russia are examined, as well as Russia's inability to conform to Western standards of democracy and capitalism. The author argues that Russia has yet to complete the transition and the corruption is a reflection of a weak and inconsistent government, rather than a blatant disregard of the rules.
