Competitive effects of partial ownership: financial interest and corporate control
Article Abstract:
The authors used an economic model to study the competitive effects of partial ownership business interests and joint ventures and found that competition analysis of those forms of ownership differs from standard merger analysis because of the significance of the factor of corporate control, which must be assessed on a case by case basis.

The first principles approach to antitrust, Kodak, and antitrust at the millennium
Article Abstract:
The author favorably assesses the precedent set by the U.S. Supreme Court in the 1992 antitrust case Eastman Kodak Co. v. Technical Services. The Court's analysis of market power is consistent with what is termed by the author to be a "first principles" approach.
