Takings law west of the Pecos: inverse condemnation of federal oil and gas lease rights
Article Abstract:
The regulatory role of the federal government does not defeat its obligations as a mineral lessor in the context of regulatory takings of federal oil and gas lease rights. Lease rights should be determined when the lease is granted, and not subsequently revised by means of federal regulatory powers.

The mutual benefit implied covenant for oil and gas royalty owners
Article Abstract:
The author argues that courts ought to legally recognized mutual benefit covenants in oil and gas leases. Such a covenant regulates the sharing of benefits between operators and royalty owners.
