The psyche of lawyers who are members of the post-baby boom generation is discussed, and they tend to be entrepreneurial and opportunistic and often leave a law firm before the investment on their training has been realized. Anecdotes regarding several young lawyers are given.

The temporary solution; many small firms are using flexible staffing to win big-time clients
Article Abstract:
Many small firms have adopted flexible firm staffing to win new clients, particularly in cases where they are competing with large law firms to capture corporate clients. Big law firms have used this marketing tool with increasing frequency for the last 10 years. An advantage for small law firms is that using contract professionals enables them to offer the same services as larger firms to clients without the additional overhead of permanent staffs.
