The year 2000 problem: a technological time bomb
Article Abstract:
The year 2000 computer problem will impact the securities industry along with others because of its heavy dependence computerized information processing technology. The SEC has issued general guidance for investment advisers and companies and Congress has proposed legislation. Affects on disclosure and the costs for correcting the problem are also discussed.
