Viagra may have legal downside; insurance breaches, side effects raise some concerns
Article Abstract:
The entry of the anti-impotence drug Viagra into the pharmaceutical market raises health insurance and products liability questions. Competitive pressures on health insurers are likely to dictate their advertising the relative availability of this medication in their plans, much as has happened with psychotropic drugs. Insurers will want to be sure patients wanting Viagra do not just want better sex lives but are truly impotent.

Wal-Mart had memo on risks to shoppers; it wasn't disclosed in a suit over rape
Article Abstract:
Meissner v. Wal-Mart Stores Inc., a premises liability case regarding an assault and rape in the parking lot of a Texas Wal-Mart, is discussed. The case eventually settled but disclosed that the defendant's memo on parking lot security was not disclosed at trial.
