Article Abstract:
Court rulings have driven a movement toward corporate self-policing, also known as compliance planning. Such plans date back about a decade as formal corporate policies were aimed a limiting a company's criminal exposure for actions of its employees. There is little case law in the area since corporations charged usually plead guilty.

The article discusses the growing number of jurisdictions revisiting cases due to questions about the shortcomings of of eyewitness identification. Some judges do not think such misgivings are based on scientific arguments oir assume that jurors already know about the problem, while many courts leave it to defense lawyers to discredit eyewitnesses with cross-examination.
