News editor David Mannion has been offered the job of editor-in-chief after the ITV merger. This has upset Steve Anderson controller of news and current affairs as he was hoping for the post. Although not one of the best but ITV News Channel has greatly improved and doing well, the credit of this goes to Mannion.
