Deliberate presence of nonnative trout in headwater and streams can have diverse and varied impacts on the ecosystems that can damage and disrupt species and vital ecological processes. Addressing the repercussions can help in directing as to what locations are justified for recreational fisheries for nonnative trout in headwater ecosystems.
