Cable fall guys
Article Abstract:
Cable One is to close its London and Bristol news services, following poor viewing figures and debt problems. The cable news station was launched in 1994 and the closures follow a rationalisation strategy implemented in November 1997, which relaunched the station minus 64 jobs. The station's owners, Daily Mail & General Trust, are thought to have spent 30-40 million pounds sterling on Channel One.
