BBC Vision Studios set for shake-up

BBC is planning to take some restructuring measures after the crisis within London's factual programming, and is preparing to scrap its in-house production set-up Vision Studios. The lack of work to maintain the 17 studios in BBC Vision and internal conflicts have led to this decision. Other changes that will be implemented are discussed.

A new split in BBC factual
Article Abstract:
Mark Thompson of the BBC has revealed his plans for the company, and part of it is shaking up the factual programming operations. There will be a split between in-house and independently-produced content, the former to be led by Emma Swain and the latter by Richard Klein. The implications and challenges to this new set-up are discussed.
