BBC bids to lure London indies up north
Article Abstract:
The BBC has attracted criticism over its efforts to persuade indies to set up offices in Manchester from London even as it is set to relocate a major portion of its resources there. The indies have already proved their commitment to the region and felt that the BBC should encourage them rather than decamp those it uses in London. The BBC describes its efforts as a two-pronged strategy that helps London indies boost the local economy.
