RDF Media and Fremantle Media have created investment funds that will lead to having a minority stake of around 10% to 25% in several small independent production companies. This trend among "super-indies" is seen to be a new approach in expanding the business, departing from the typical million-pound acquisitions. Other investment trends are analyzed.
