Article Abstract:
Flextech Television, Managing Director, Brent Harman has overseen a contract to provide eight pay-TV stations in partnership with the BBC. Flextech is worth some 750 million pounds sterling but in 1996 it recorded a pre-tax loss of 16.8 million pounds sterling. Harman joined Flextech in 1995 and has increased Flextech's representation on most of the television channels in the UK, in addition to adding some 200 new employees to the workforce. Harman is keen to find new partners and in 1996 purchased the remaining 61% of the Family Channel for 31.4 million pounds sterling.

Cosgrove steps in to replace Airey
Article Abstract:
The departure of Dawn Airey from Channel 4 has prompted the promotion of Stuart Cosgrove to the position of controller of arts and entertainment. He has been responsible for independent film and video work at Channel 4, and has been involved in a number of high profile projects. He may well be replaced by his deputy, Robin Gutch.
