Come to terms
Article Abstract:
Independent television programme producers will be able to retain international rights and all residual rights to the programmes they produce for the BBC under the new agreement reached by producers' alliance Pact and the BBC. In return, they will cash-flow their own production activities and raise some funding from alternative sources. Most independent firms are likely to choose to remain with the existing arrangement, under which their programmes are fully funded by the BBC in return for a production fee.
