BBC, after settling its license fee, is on its way to make major budget cuts in factual documentaries, arts, and news. These genres are underserved in the industry, and if BBC's goal is to provide a wide range of programming, then it should not slash the budget for these genres. An viewpoint essay on BBC's funding of its programs is presented.
