The debate over freedom and responsibility in the broadcasting industry is being altered by new definitions of those concepts. Broadcasting freedom has been changed by the emergence of new, multicultural societies and politically-driven economic restructuring. Responsibility now focuses on accountability rather than morals or ethics. A common forum for public discussion is crucial to maintain both concepts.
